Padre Jaime:

Father Lienert We Miss You!
I enjoyed attending Confession with him. He always
knew how to speak to my children and myself. He
showed tranquility after turmoil. I can still feel his
warmth presents at St Josephs. My condolences to
his family. Thank you for giving us Father Lienert.

My wife Delia, my family and I, are blessed to know many of the Holy Family priests that have served our church, St. Josephs Cathlic Church in Donna, Texas and Father James Paul Lienert was one of the priests. I met Father Lienert when he first started his mission in Mexico. He was young and full of life. I must say that I was surprised with his assignment in Mexico but every time he came to Donna on his way

I was an alter server for Father for 7 years. He was such a nice man. He blessed my truck when i was heading out to college, and even did the memorial service for my grandfather when he passed. My condolences to all his family and I know he's now watching over us with the lord. RIP Father Lienert

I felt compelled to attend mass one week day because I was worried about family that were traveling in bad weather. I hadn't been to mass since my father's funeral almost a year before and it was quite unusual for me.
The weather was horrible with a torrential cold downpour.
I was in the church with a couple of the ladies that help with the mass and one of the ladies said that Padre Jaime was stranded at the rectory and that

Even now I feel I will walk into the rectory and run into Fr. Lienert. I imagine he would gather all his old Smithsonian magazines and I would add them to the stacks I already have. Then he would tell me about something interesting he came across online. :) How I will miss him. He was such an interesting, funny and good person. He helped me with so much. I will forever miss talking with him about anything and everything.
Fr. Lienert, you are always in my prayers.
